My quest to get the weight of my camera equipment off of my back (in a backpack) led me to try the slingshot. What I found, however, is that a carrying solution must distribute weight evenly if it is to be used for long. The slingshot fails in this regard.

I eventually discovered waist packs, as in the OffTrail bags from LowePro, and these are far superior. They are my most used bags, with the MiniTrekker next and the larger Trekker bags used for storage primarily.
