I'm running XP, but don't have the disks for it. It came installed on the original harddrive with a recovery function that no longer works. Maybe buying the software outright so I can have the disks is an option I should consider.
The harddrive in the computer is new - less than a month old. The machine itself is a P4 and is about 5 years old.
Thanks for the "Core 2 Duo processor or better" advice - that's exactly the sort of thing I need to know.
