I don't know exactly what bar you are talking about but if you right click on the bar you will get a pop up box. The white blank you are talking about might be a toolbar and you can unclick to make it go away.

I also move all the stuff from the first two firefox bars into the first row and unclick the second bar. You an also move the stuff around however you like.
