Default Re: Looking for a decent printer in Baltimore, MD

I don't know if I should throw my two cents in, but from my initial experiences with Millers and Mpix, I would not recommend either of them. I recently sent in 6 rolls of 35mm film to Mpix, hoping to see the quality that I've been reading about from other Camel members. Well, the scans that they put up on their site had horrendous vignetting problems (dark corners). I had never had such problems with that 35mm camera before, but I was actually willing to believe that it was somehow a problem on my end. When the second set of scans were posted, the problem was even worse. Well, I got the negatives back and there was no vignetting to be seen! I can only conclude that they have bad or malfunctioning scanners, and a complete lack of quality control. Sent them an email complaint two days ago and have yet to receive a response. BTW, just previous to that, I sent in 4 digital files to Millers as a color test. Their "color corrected" 8x10s were terrible. In fact, all it looked like they did with one of the images was do an auto levels in Photoshop, which gave a bluish tint to the skin tones. I was dumbfounded. Perhaps I've just had bad luck, though.
