Check color profile in jpg created in NX2?
I normally work in AdobeRGB in NX2 and then convert it to sRGB before saving it as a jpg file if it is destined for the webb or for many printing services. As long as I do not close the file in NX2, the program displays the correct color profile at the bottom of the screen. But once the file has been closed, when it is reopened, the program displays it's default color profile. Since some printing services do not like an ICC embedded, I often save it to a jpg file w/o the embedded ICC. Is there any way to verify the color profile of the jpg file? It seems neither NX2 nor ViewNX will identify the color profile w/o an embedded ICC. None of the information readers I have (Opanda, PIE, and PhotoME) find any flag as far as I can determine. All I have been able to find is a flag in the maker section of the data and NX2 does not adjust that. Yet I would hope something would be available to a color-aware display program to tell it how to get the profile correct. In that case, is there any way for me to verify the color profile?
