Adding 1gb more would not make it much faster then it already is.
I have a similar system AMD64x2 4200 with 3gb RAM and it is fast enough for me. However I am also running Vista 32 which runs slower then a system using XP.
Mind you for some reason LR2 seems to be a slug but that is most likely LR as it was never a speedy program.
