And sadly, with media player, I was never able to fix the issue. Tried uninstalling the update, reinstalling the old version. Once its ingrained in the registry, its pretty much over unless you can get MS to help you fix it.
For the techie types, look up 3 dead trolls in a baggie (think their site is Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie Internet Comedy HQ) and look up some of their songs like "Every OS sucks" and "Welcome to the internet helpdesk". |
FIRST: I "misspoke"!! Windows98 was a very good OS.....it was Windows-ME that was the unmitigated disaster! Sorry about that......
That's too bad about Media Player, did you uninstall it and reinstall to try and fix it?
I rarely use Windows Media Player...... I have "J. River Media Center 12" and use it to play my 5,000+ music collection! It is the best "jukebox" I've tried!
One caveat if you use it: You must set the Process as "High Priority" in Windows Task Manager, or else Media Center will allow any other program to have a higher priority resulting in the music playing with pauses.....drove me nuts until I raised its Priority.
