Week 26
Week of August 21/17.

For this week, i am posting a few shots of my walk around Vancouver's harbor. Always an interesting place any time of the year but particularly so during the summer.

Week 27
Week of August 28/17.

This series is from the first day of our recent cruise to Alaska.

1
This shot taken from the top deck of our ship shows the Vancouver skyline in the background.

2
My wife, Pam started getting used to the boat quite quickly.

3
So did this guy.

4
View of Vancouver harbour from our ship, including Mt Baker USA in the background.

5
Vancouver skyline as we sailed into the sunset.

6
Pano of us leaving Vancouver area.

7
View of the North Vancouver Sulphur shipping terminal from our ship.

8
We were accompanied on our cruise by 3 Kiwis (L to R): Pam's cousin Paula, her hubby Brian and Paula's sister Lynne.

9
The food on board was awesome.
This is Pam's Prime Rib.

10
I preferred steak.

11
Sailing into the sunset.

12
After dinner there was entertainment in the theater.

13
Or gambling.

14
Or interesting stuff everywhere.

A very interesting set of photos for week 26, Wolf.
That's a lovely ship in ph1 but I am not sure I would want to sail on it since "Seven Seas Mariner" is just a scrambled version of "Seaman in reverse".
That is a neat looking ferry in ph2. I love the way it has been painted.
As for ph3, I think I would prefer to take the boat ride instead of one of those little water planes.
As for ph4, B&W certainly makes the image biased to the far edge but it is not clear to me if the main subject, dressed like a woman, is actually a woman.
Cheers, Murray

Nice cruise shots. Looks very similar to the one my wife and I took a few years ago. Care to share the vessel name and cruise line?

Thank you for your kindly comments Murray.
Very good of you to unscramble the Seven Seas Mariner's name.
As a result we decided to make our cruise on a different ship, the Celebrity Millennium.
A boat ride to Victoria from Vancouver is quite interesting as the boat navigates through the scenic Gulf Islands.
The distinguished looking lady in ph4 caught my eye as she was very absorbed by the contents of what must be an interesting letter.

Cheers
Wolf

Hi WG; The ship we took our cruise on was the Celebrity Millennium. It was first class in every respect. I would not hesitate to recommend the Celebrity line to anyone.
