One thing to be mindful of, is that you might have errant behavior from your lenses, if you ever upgrade to a new body. Sigma has to reverse engineer the AF on each and every new Nikon body. They are always willing to re-chip the lens for you, once they manufacture a solution, but I will warn you, that a buddy of mine has a 150mm 2.8 macro that works perfectly on his D300, but still has problems AFing on his D3, even after the lens had a trip to Sigma.
