Here's my point of view: I had the 300 for about 1 1/2 years and loved it. Then i got more serious about photography and wanted the faster frames per second and the extra pixels so I bought the 350 used on another forum. Then I figured a way to get a brand new 30D when they had double and triple rebates. I think this was around the end of 2006. When I got the 30D I couldn't believe what a big difference there was from the 300/350. Especially the wheel on the back of the camera. It makes adjusting the camera and viewing pictures sooo much easier.

My two cents is skip the 350 and go to the 30D. It is going for about 600-625 on most of the forums body only. I just bought a 40D (with a promise to my wife that I will sell the 30D right after our summer vacation) so I have been watching the used market pretty close lately.
