I don't have this lens, but I've seen it mentioned somewhere that a 2 3/16 inch O-ring will solve the problem. Should cost less than a dollar so it can't hurt to try it. I've also heard of people putting tape on the smaller barrel, but I don't think I'd do that, I'd worry about the adhesive getting everywhere on hot days.
