They rock in multitudes of unbelief. I set up the massive soft box, and thought there was no way a AB800 would put out enough light to work with it. I had my wife sit in a chair about 3 foot from a white wall, I had the SB at about a 45 degree angle from her, and pretty close, I also had it slightly above her pointed down at a slight angle. Those boom arms are great too. I set it to full power. Totally washed her out. I had to dial it down to 1/16 to get a good exposure of her. I would have had to have two 500W hot lights right in her face to get the amount of light I got at 1/16 power of these. What amazed me most was that there were no shadows on the wall behind her.
I'm such a happy camper.
As she is the financial director around here, and said I'd be able to get a back up body in a couple months, I'm not sure if telling her I need triggers, and a light meter will go over well. Sometimes when talking about something I want or need, she gets this look in her eyes like she might beat me to death in my sleep with one of my long lens.
