Here's How I feel about the two cameras...
I have a 10D; 30D and a 350D and I am upgrading to a 40D. The camera which I am going to sell is NOT the 10D, it's the 350D. The imagery between the 10D and 350D is comparable and viewing older images, I cannot tell which camera shot which.
However, I just like the control system of the 10D better than that of the 350D. The 10D has two wheels and a topside LCD for adjusting exposure, frame rate, etc. With the 350D, everything is done with the menu or a miniscule LCD window on the back of the camera.
I also like the size of the 10D better (even with the battery grip for the 350D) especially with heavier lenses.
The batteries for the 10D are compatible with my other cameras and the 350D batteries are not...
One final thing about the 350D which I know is operator error but which the control setup of the 350D leads to. The drive control button is located right where my thumb sits when I am shooting. I have often switched the frame rate to self-timer in error by hitting that darn button. When I press the shutter button and the self timer begins cooking off, I am liable to say "S__T! I have done it again!
