Default Point & Shoot question

Hiya! I'm not entirely sure that this is the right place for this question BUT...

I was wondering if anyone had a good suggestion for a point & shoot camera? I would like to get one, but I don't want to end up with a piece of junk. I'd like to have a camera that small enough to have with me all the time. My DSLR is a bit to large to carry with me everywhere... and there are many times that I've been out somewhere and wished I had something other than my cell phone camera with me.

Anybody have a point and shoot that they are really impressed with?
