Thanks for the peep talk on the 300/350. I did have my heart set on a semi pro model aside from a K1000 that's all I ever bought camera wise.

The only thing that I really dislike about the 300/350 is the plastic body and the fact that it's stamped "Rebel" if it was a 35mm I wouldn't even
conceder it. However I am looking at the plus side...one thing it will allow me to do is buy a EF-S lens or two.
