I don't know if it'd capture more detail specifically ...although certainly a greater pixel density in the same size sensor as a D3 (FX) would certainly help in that regard, but greater dynamic range is always a welcomed advantage.
This camera will certainly be geared towards the studio photographer and it's very likely we'll see D300 like specifications in that body, just with the higher resolution sensor and FX sized sensor. Nikon may have a twist on the AF system as well.
Such a camera would be excellent for pretty much studio and all around use. Again, expect a price in the $8,000 range.
