Honestly, you really need a faster lens (larger max. aperture) then the ones mentioned above to shoot a wedding. I normally use 28-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8, 50 1.8, and a Sigma 30 1.4. Church's are normally dimly lite, along with reception halls.
I would go with the D40X and keep the Finepix for back up, you don't want to rely on one camera in case of a failure. Don't forget your flash, SB600 or SB800's work well.
