Well these may not be as scientific as some, but I wanted to post some pics taken with this lens. Right off, I noticed that there is an issue with CA that has been discussed before. For the most part, this can be dealt with in PP. I have had the Sigma 70-300 APO DG before this one. I just was getting nervous that it may break since I now have an A700.
Both lenses are a bit soft at the long end, although it seems to me that the Tamron is sharper. Other than the CA, I like the Tamron more than the Sigma. I like the colors and the bokeh.
The following are just some pics I have taken over the last couple of days. Like I said, nothing scientific here. I have done some PP, some cropping and some resizing. I hope these pics give you an idea of what this lens can do and can maybe help someone looking at this lens.
The Sony A700 and Tamron lens used for all pics.
