What Bob is saying spy is that there is a lot more you can get out of these images than simply the settings; and by looking at the images, you can work out a rough guide on the settings anyway.

These shots are great because they all capture the action right at the decisive moment. They are good examples of the principle of releasing the shutter at the right moment. That alone makes the shots powerful and even if there were technical issues with the images, the message would still be strong.

However, in relation to settings, it's fairly clear that the aperture was fairly open, because the DOF is relatively shallow, especially considering the distance from the camera to subject. So these were probably shot in the range between f/2.8 - f/4 (maybe f/5.6), but no longer than that. The shallow depth of field has really helped to isolate the subject, but in a couple, the out of focus background adds even more to the shot and the lens has produced very pleasing bokeh.

Very nice images.
