Not true. I shoot with Sinar systems almost daily at work! Sinar 4x5 body(s) with sinar digital backs.

you've wagered correctly! Like i said earlier I shoot daily just as you've described above (teathered and closed back). Focusing 'live'
on a monitor. Sinar's "p3" body is "smaller view camera body" that works nicely with todays LF backs (sinar in my case). Of course the actuall size of the sensor isn't 4in x 5in but produces images of those dimensions. Resolution is depends on 1shot,4shot or 16shot modes. Here's the p3:
We also have some older Sinar p2's witch also have digital backs mounted on the back -- these backs are the same back that some folks use on their hassy's for extra resolving power.
