While others are 'enjoying' record temperatures and sunshine we are having widespread flooding and rain. The high temperature around here was 64 F.

This is a shot of water being pumped out of the below grade basement of the Harrison Hotel as captured after dinner tonight. The cause of the flooding is due to the quick melting of the well above average snow pack from last winter.

Kids water park is closed.

So is the lakefront swing park.

The dike protecting the waterfront lagoon has been breached (see right side of picture), by Harrison Lake.

... and the sky is grey

This bridge is now a 'floating ' bridge as its lower than the stream it crosses.

I'm standing on the 'road'. Harrison Lake, left (normally about 15 feet below) is at the road level - in fact its crossing the road.

These campers decided to stay in a motel.

Now that's a (Chevy 4500) truck !!

The flowers are waterlogged.

These flowers are attached to a memorial bench which was dedicated to a young lady who died in an auto accident a week ago last year at age 21.

Thank you Tony. One of the locals told me the girl died in an auto accident a year ago this week. Always sad to see someone so young die, especially when it could have been avoided.

Nice shots Wolf. I guess If I had to choose between this heat and your flooding, I'll stick with the heat. Still, it'd be nice if mother nature woud split the difference and give us both something in between!!!
