The vignette is a natural vignette caused by the light, but then it's pushed a little in PS to add contrast. I'm not sure why there's a double shadow, but it's a natural lighting artifact. As for making him shiny, I had the makeup artist rub some baby oil on him, which I'm sure you can image, she hated every minute of
