Fastpack 200 vs. 250 vs. 350
I just received a Fastpack 350 (mail order, couldn't find any locally to check out) and I'm thinking it's too big.
I like the basic design and wanted to downsize to either the 250 or 200. I need to be able to carry a D80 with 70-200 f/2.8 VR lens attached, plus a couple smaller lenses (50mm f/1.8, 105mm macro) and an SB-600 flash. I don't really need to carry a laptop.
One of the hard things to figure out from the LowePro site is which pocket(s) their stated dimensions apply to. For everyone's benefit, the interior dimensions apply *only* to the camera compartment, not the upper compartment.
According to LowePro's dimensions, the 200 and 250 have the same interior pocket dimensions. The only difference is the depth (which is the exterior dimension from the panel that rests on your back as you wear it to the outside parallel edge) -- the entire depth difference is in the laptop compartment.
As the 70-200 fits pretty easily in the Fastpack 350, and the interior dimension on the 200/250 is only 0.2 inches shorter, I think the 70-200 should fit. d2creative, does the 70-200 fit on the D200 body if you don't have all that other fun stuff in Fastpack 200?
