I personally find the E-3 way better, purely because it is a real protection for the screen. I'm not sure if the plastic cover would work as well on the E-3 as it would protrude a bit. I like the idea of not having any LCD on the back when you don't really need to view the screen anyway - the top LCD or the viewfinder details are usually enough - you just have to unlearn chimping .
