I tried the shorter sigma zoom 2.8. I think it was a 17-50 but not sure because I returned it. My problem with it was massive " focus hunting" in low light indoors. I suggested to the photo store that the lens I was returning might have been defective, but they did not want to give me another one to try out with the understanding that I could return that one too.
