If your clients are like me, they have no idea what they look like in camera. Nor do they know the limitations of the environment.
Sure, you can shoot it "as is", but if you can anticipate what your client expects, you can sell a lot more photos, and have fun getting them ready for them.

Here is the original. The bride hates her profile. I asked her why, and she stated it was about her nose and chin. She ordered this photo out of 100 photos as her enlargement photo. I was a hero because I took the "best profile photo ever". But was it camera work?

Here is a bride I just shared with everyone. She was very upset that her gown was "too poofy" and her hair had fallen.

Are we limited by our enviorments? Nope. Photoshop makes our world a whole lot bigger, and more colorful if we choose.

And we all do the boring shot, but you never know what is in the heart of the client. In a few seconds, some really distracting crap was removed
