* I'd theorize this is a software issue. Can you reset the camera from the ground up, as in re-initiating and re-installing the firmware? I'd try that first. Then test if it made a difference (prepare a reference setup, shoot 'before resetting' benchmark photos). If not I'd get the camera out for service.
