Default Re: 1947 Dodge Fire Truck

GREAT ole Dodge Fire Truck. Would like to know more about it, as I'm a collector / historian of Dodge Fire Trucks. We try to keep up with all the serial numbers of the 39-47 model Dodge Fire Trucks. Would love to know serial numbers, model numbers etc. off the door pillar. The fire apparatus body, looks home made, but if their is a Mfg. name tag on the fire body, I'd love to know this also. Your truck is probably a 1941 model, not a 47. The chrome strips in the lower grill are a dead give away. 1941 was the only year Dodge put these chrome strips in the lower part of the grill. This same basic truck was built from 1939-1947, with changes to the grill & other areas from 1939-41, then the 42-47 trucks were basically the same.

Look forward to learning more about this truck.
