I know you bought your D100 second hand a few months ago.
I also took the plunge yesterday, and bought a Nikon D1x from a camera dealer in the US for under $500, along with 3 batteries and a fair bit of software.
Unfortunately, Santa won't be delivering it so I'll have to wait till the new year, but I'm excited at the prospect.
It may not have the bells and whistles of a D200 or D80, but I'm sure it will be more than adequate.
