Works in A&M mode just checked the manual.
All the new models require i-TTL flashes (d70,d70s,d50,d80 etc)for TTL.
It's the one thing that Nikon did that i hate.
I have numerous after market flashes that i use on manual.
The upside is that the old flashes still work;Cannon needs specific models,and apparently damage can be done to the camera if a non specific flash is used.
