I am looking for something similar to your original specs. One camera I have found that is very close is the Fujifilm Finepix E900. I'm still doing some research, but I haven't found any bad reviews for it, and the price is good. I'm primarily looking for a photojournalist-style camera, so I think it will be a good fit.

Has anyone else had any experience with this camera?

edit: I just discovered that is uses xD cards and the write speed for raw is approximately 6 seconds. Not so great, but still seems to be a good model.
