If I remember correctly, I want to say my aperture was F5.3 or just one stop below that.* I'm not totally sure on the focal length but I shot with my 28-300mm.* I'm thinking I was shooting right about the middle of that lens.* I was standing pretty close to the fence post so I didn't have to zoom all the way in.* I just about drove off the road doing a "break neck" looking back at it too.*

* I couldn't believe how red it was.* I usually bump saturation a tad in my post processing in photo's like this but the color actually came out exactly as I was seeing it with my eyes this time.* It was a pretty cool experiment.* I just changed the area I was focusing on and left everything else the same for both shots.* Sometimes, it helps me to go back to the fundamentals when trying to find more "creative" ideas in photography.

You should combine the sky in pic 1 with with barbed wire/post in pic 2 .

Thank you Paul.* I, of course knew what the tall object was but when I looked back after reading your post, I see that too.* It's neat to hear what others comments and ideas are.* Thanks for your thoughts!*

I also like the foreground being in focus better.* I do wish I had had more sky though to be able to do a vertical shot with more of the post and barbed wire showing as silouette.* I think silhouettes could be like my signature type photography if I was ever doing this for moula.*

I LOVE trying to find more creative and attractive ways to capture them.* Too bad it's already dark by the time I get off work right now.*:-\
I think I might just see if I can get them combined.* I think it would make a pretty cool picture to have more in focus.* How about the water tower way back in the background?* Should I clone it out when I do this or leave it in to show distance and scale?*
