Default Re: Pocket Wizard Multi Maxes and ST-E2's?

The ST-E2 is a dedicated Speedlite transmitter for Canon EX flashes. I believe it is infrared, requiring a line of site, and has a range of about 50 feet (indoors, less outdoors). They can set the ratios for multiple EX flash units, they have an autofocus assist beam.

PocketWizards are radio transmitters/receivers. They are not specific to any camera or flash. They can work over much larger distances and don't have to be line of site. They can trigger flashes. They can trigger a camera.
