Question: would having a live-luminance histogram that followed your settings have helped with this shot?

- if yes, we have just found a(nother) useful tool for LiveView on the 40D (& others ??), when in LiveView, and 'LCD simulates exposure' is set, pressing INFO button twice brings you a live luminance histogram

...€0.02 and a bit...
