IMHO this one is 'overcooked' a little, while the first conversion you posted is a tad too dark for *my* appetite too.

...in between, where you can outline the silhouettes of the yard, but cannot truely see the details, would be 110% IMHO

Nice shots & great conversions. IIRC, PhotoShop Elements RAW (w/ACR 4.1 although a little less options, 'dumbed down' from PSCS3) does Minolta MAXXUM RAW conversions (to 8bit JPG or 16bit TIFF) too... and is not thàt expensive...

...just an idea, *my* €0.02 worth...
