I just wanted to post my appreciation for this thread. Thank you, Benji, for discussing these portrait rules, and thanks for mentioning the book by Don Peterson. After a little searching on Amazon, I was able to locate used copies for sale of his book Masterbook of Portraiture and Studio Management.
