Yes, I knew of the Art Linkletter arrangement (who was actually also celebrating his birthday on that day!).

It was only for a small specified amount of time, though. The sponsor has been Kodak at the American parks for quite a while now, but before that, it was GAF (who was the original photographic sponsor at Walt Disney World) and a couple of other companies.

And in other photographic connections, a couple of years before Disneyland opened, Sawyers bought the True-Vue company, which had the stereo contract with Disney. So, in one big sweep, Sawyers managed to not only take out the major competition, but they also got a huge contract that has lasted until this day. And, as you may know, GAF later bought out Sawyers.

And in an interesting turn of events, GAF is now completely out of the film business. Today, they are a leading roofing company (such a strange, strange turn).
