The accessories are a valid point, as are potential problems with focus issues with the Sigma. But having used canon's 35/2 28/1.8 and the sigma 30, well, the sigma is the only one I still have, and I am very happy with it. BUt if I had filters and what not that I could use interchangeably, Id probably go for the 28.
