I don't own the Tamarac but I do own the Lowepro Slingshot 200 and I am amazed by it everyday. At first it did bother my shoulder but after using it on a very regular basis I barely notice it. What I am amazed by is hoew much it holds.

I fit aall nikon glass, 70-200 2.8G, 85 1.4D, 50 1.8D and a 17-55 2.8G in the bag along with my Nikon D200 and 2 SB-800's. When I am doing photojournalism I can quickly get to anything I need. I also use it as a small writing table when I am writing down information. Since it is very sleek it rarely gets in my way while running around. Just my 2 cents. I can probably fit another smallish lens in there, like a 105 prime or a couple of small primes like a 35mm and a TC-1.4.
